The New Perspective on Paul and Replacement Theology | Prof. Dr. Brad Young

Posted August 20, 2026

Prof. Dr. Brad Young explores the New Perspective on Paul and its implications for replacement theology, with particular focus on God’s covenant with biblical Israel. Drawing from Romans 9–11, he examines the theological debate over whether the promises given to Israel have been transferred to the Church.

Through careful engagement with Paul’s writings and insights from biblical scholarship, Dr. Young emphasizes the enduring significance of Israel’s calling and the irrevocable nature of God’s gifts and promises. This presentation offers a deeper understanding of Pauline theology, covenant, and the relationship between Israel and the Church.

Brad H. Young, PhD, Hebrew University of Jerusalem, is Professor Emeritus of Biblical Literature in Judaic-Christian Studies at the Graduate School of Theology at Oral Roberts University.
