President/Co-Founder of ChristianCafe.com, a Christian dating site that has been successfully connecting Christian singles since 1999.
“I started ChristianCafe.com out of a personal need: back in 1998, I was in my early 30’s, recently single, new to Toronto, and found it hard to connect with fellow single believers. I discovered these new dating services that were popping up online. I started to connect with women locally, and across the US. Having completed my MBA at Western three years earlier, my business mind clicked, as I saw an opportunity to better connect Christian singles, for whom secular dating services weren’t ideal. Together with my brother, also a Western MBA, we launched ChristianCafe.com in 1999, and the rest is history. Along the way, I met a young lady, Polly, who came to work for me and helped get our new website noticed online. Two years later, we started dating. Two years after that, we got married. That was 20 years ago, and we’ve got five kids, including twins, twice!”
ChristianCafe.com a site where over 25,000 marriages have resulted. It also provides Christian Forums to allow Christian singles to fellowship and discuss topics of interest in an often very lonely culture.
Awards: 2002 Profit Magazine as 10th fastest growing start up in Canada and Entrepreneur of the Year 2003 by JVS.
