A Compassionate Response to an Urgent Need
When the ICEJ learned that nearly 60,000 Holocaust Survivors were living in poverty—many facing illness, isolation, or both—we knew we could not stand by. These are precious lives, and their suffering called for a compassionate response.

The Haifa Home: Dignity, Care, and Community
That response became the Haifa Home—an assisted-living residence created specifically to care for Holocaust Survivors with dignity, warmth, and love.
The Haifa Home offers far more than nutritious meals and safe shelter. It provides a true community—one marked by companionship, shared understanding, and the loving kindness these Survivors have always deserved. Local Survivors are also welcomed to the home to take part in celebrations, activities, and supportive services, ensuring no one feels forgotten or alone.
As We Approach Holocaust Remembrance Day
As we approach Holocaust Remembrance Day on January 27, we pause to honour the memory of the six million Jews who perished—and to reaffirm our responsibility to care for those who survived. Remembering the Holocaust is not only about the past; it is also about how we respond in the present to those who still carry its scars.

A Living Partnership of Trust and Care
The Haifa Home is a living partnership, built on trust and mutual respect between the Israeli staff, the residents, and the ICEJ. As needs continue to grow, so does the campus, with new sections opening in recently acquired buildings along the same street—allowing us to welcome even more Survivors into this caring environment.
Touched Hearts Around the World
Christians around the world have been deeply moved by the Haifa Home. As they come to know the Survivors personally, they recognize the profound importance of this work. Their love and support have brought encouragement and comfort to both residents and staff alike.
Time Is Precious
The ICEJ considers it a sacred privilege to care for these remarkable people—many bonded by the same tattoo and the shared nightmare of Nazi death camps. Time is urgent, as nearly 13,000 Survivors pass away each year.
You can be part of this meaningful work to love, shelter, and protect Holocaust Survivors in their remaining years. A generous gift of any amount is a powerful expression of remembrance, compassion, and solidarity with Israel.
What a beautiful way to honour Holocaust Remembrance Day by blessing and caring for these precious lives.
For Zion’s sake,
