ICEJ Update from Israel

June 29 – Day 632
Posted July 2, 2025

After their short but intense 12-day war, the ceasefire between Israel and Iran has held for the past week, but there are a number of questions left over from that conflict, such as how much damage was done to Iran’s nuclear facilities. Both Israeli and American intelligence sources insist the Iranian nuclear program has been set back for years, although some anonymous officials are disputing that claim. Meanwhile, Tehran has decided to adopt a policy of nuclear ambiguity, meaning it will do even less to cooperate with international atomic inspectors going forward. There also are reports Iran intends to quickly rebuild its uranium enrichment capabilities. Meanwhile, the other big question is how the defeat suffered by Iran will impact the standoff between Israel and Hamas in Gaza. US President Donald Trump is pressing both sides to quickly reach a truce and hostage deal, but the same old disputes remain. Israel only wants a temporary ceasefire and partial hostage release, unless Hamas agrees to surrender, disarm and leave Gaza. While that impasse continues, there may be other dramatic breakthroughs just ahead for Israel, perhaps even an historic security agreement with Syria. Let us continue to intercede for the peace of Jerusalem.  Join us for daily Prayer Gatherings at 4:30pm~5:30pm Israel time:
