We at ICEJ Canada stand with the Jewish community in horror and grief over the Australian mass shooting at a Jewish festival at Bondi Beach in Sydney.
Our hearts at ICEJ Canada are with the Canadian and world-wide Jewish community on this first day of Hanukkah.
Australian authorities have identified the massacre that took the life of 15 people as an intentional, terrorist attack, “designed to target Sydney’s Jewish community on the first day of Hanukkah”, As hundreds gathered to celebrate by the sea.
We at ICEJ-Canada call for prayer for God’s comfort in this moment of unimaginable grief for the families who lost their loved ones and for God’s comfort to the Jewish community.
We stand with the Jewish community and we affirm that no amount of darkness and evil could put out the light of Hanukkah and the Christmas season.
We pray for the world Jewry and for the State of Israel.
