Feast of Tabernacles 2024 update

Posted October 15, 2024

Dear friends and prayer partners,

The anticipation is mounting here in Jerusalem as the 2024 Feast of Tabernacles celebration is poised to start this coming Wednesday!

Despite the ongoing conflict in Gaza and the North, more than 400 Christians are scheduled to arrive in Israel in the next few days to show their support for the nation and participate in the ICEJ’s Succot gathering. We are so proud of their courage and determination to make the journey to Jerusalem amid all the regional tensions and flight cancellations. Thus, it will be our privilege to host at this year’s Feast the largest solidarity mission to Israel since the war began last year.

In addition to the powerful teachings and anointed worship, the Feast gathering will be addressed by senior Israeli leaders, while also hearing from hostage family members about their long ordeal as well as from security experts on the current status of the war.

The Feast runs from 16-23 October and is traditionally a holiday of joy, but given the ongoing conflict and the immense tragedy that struck Israel one year ago, we sense a duty to begin this year with a solemn remembrance gathering in the western Negev area hit so hard last October 7.

Thus, our Feast will open with a tour of the Gaza border area and a special remembrance ceremony at HaBsor National Park to honor the 1,500 Israelis who fell or were taken hostage during the Hamas mass terror attack on October 7 one year ago. Pilgrims will hear first-hand accounts from local security officers and community leaders about the tragic events on Simchat Torah last year and visit key sites connected to the Hamas atrocities.

Working in partnership with KKL-JNF, the ICEJ pilgrims also will plant in pots hundreds of red and yellow tulip bulbs in memory of the fallen and abducted. These tulips bulbs will then be placed at the new Nova memorial site and will blossom this winter in the shape of a red heart and yellow ribbon

Thus, our presence here at this challenging time and the beautiful tulips we will leave behind are intended to convey a strong message of our support and concern for Israel and the suffering this nation has endured over the past twelve months.

We invite you to gather your family and friends to join us online for this powerful expression of solidarity with Israel and communion with God during this year’s Feast of Tabernacles. Register today at feast.icej.org to access all the Feast events, which are available at your fingertips via our special streaming platform. Also enjoy a selection of extra “Video-on-Demand” seminars and teachings, and take part in our 24/7 online Feast Prayer Succah.

We offer three online packages that cater to your needs. The Basic Package costs only 50 USD and gives you access to all content until the end of January 2025, which means you do not need to worry about missing out on anything due to your own busy schedule.

We fully await the comforting presence of the Lord at this year’s Feast, as we gather under the biblical theme of “‘By My Spirit,’ Says the Lord!” (Zechariah 4:6). We look forward to hosting you as well on the online Feast!
Blessings from Jerusalem
