David is married to Patricia and lives in Three Hills Alberta; he is the father of three grown daughters who are all married to wonderful Christian husbands and is grandfather to three little children.

The Lord has given him thirty-three years (including adjunct status) of teaching at Briercrest Bible College, 1976-1987; Nipawin Bible College 1987-1996; and Prairie Bible College 1998-2008.

A special blessing to him has been his work in archaeology in the Holy Land. Along with holding a PhD in Biblical Archaeology, he also taught a course in the geography and archaeology of the Holy Land. Also, for six years he served as a permanent staff member of the Ramat Rahel Archaeological Expedition in south Jerusalem.

In the summer of 2011 David dug at the Old Testament port city of Dor, just south of Haifa with the archaeological teams from Hebrew University in Jerusalem and the University of Haifa.

In 2012 he returned to dig with TAU and HU at the Philistine city of Azekah in the Elah Valley where David fought Goliath. This site has never been excavated before, so expectations were high. The results did not disappoint.

“The Lord has blessed our family so very much! My ministry has been a reflection of two of the principles that govern our lives, seeing things the way God sees them, and, loving what God loves. God surely loves Israel. So do we!”
