In the first day of Passion Week, we retrace Jesus’s footsteps after His triumphant entry into Jerusalem and His weeping over the city from the Mt. Of Olives. In day 1, you will hear from Pastor Avraham Ben Hod as he explains the significance of Jesus’s entering Jerusalem before His crucifixion. Later on, Dr. Juergen Buehler will share deeper insights about Jesus’s lamentation over Jerusalem and the symbolism of the fig tree.
In day two of Passion Week, we explore Jesus’s anguished prayers in the Garden of Gethsemane before His crucifixion. You will hear from Succat Hallel prayer house founder, Rick Ridings about the significance of Jesus’s prayer in the garden and the impact of prayer on our lives. Later on, Dr. Juergen Buehler will share about God’s call to us to stay close to him through prayer.
On the third day of Passion Week, we uncover the trial of Jesus in Herod’s Palace. Rose Ginosar, Director of External Relations for the Tower of David Museum, will share more about the archaeological significance of the site where it is believed that Jesus was tried by Pontius Pilate. Later, we will ask the important question: “who is Jesus?” and how our answer means much more than we think.
For day four of Passion Week, we examine Golgotha, or the place of the skull, where Jesus was crucified. We will explore the elements of the Passover Seder and how these symbols even point to Jesus as the Passover Lamb. Lastly, Dr. Juergen Buehler will share about the uniqueness of Jesus’s suffering and sacrificial death for us and how this impacts our lives today.
On the fifth and final day of Passion Week, we are at the Garden Tomb in Jerusalem. You will hear from Chuck Cohen, Director of Intercessors for Israel, who will share about Yom Bikkurim (or the Day of First Fruits) and how this day relates to the Resurrection of Jesus. Later on, Dr. Juergen Buehler will share about the power of Jesus’s Resurrection and how His love and deliverance transform our lives.
