Brigitte Gabriel Returns to Toronto After 20 Years

A powerful evening confronting extremism, defending freedom, and standing with Israel
Posted May 14, 2026

Last night, ICEJ Canada cosponsored the return of Brigette Gabriel after 20 years since her last speaking tour in Canada (Toronto), when Donna and Brigette first met, taking a cab from her speaking event at Park Avenue to U of T to meet Caroline Glick for the first time.

Dame (knighted in Europe in 2016) Gabriel is a globally recognized authority on national security, terrorism, geopolitics, and the preservation of Western civilization. A legal immigrant from Lebanon, she survived the brutality of the Lebanese War, spending seven years—ages 10 to 17—living in an 8×10-foot underground bomb shelter without electricity or running water as Islamic militants destroyed her community. These formative years forged her unmatched firsthand understanding of radical extremism and the global stakes of the fight for freedom.

Brigitte Gabriel is a Lebanese Maronite Christian who believes her life was saved by the Israeli military’s 1978 incursion into her country, and is now known for her expertise on Muslim extremism and global terror.
