Shalom and greetings from Jerusalem, the city of our Great King. We have so much to be thankful for at this time, with the Feast of Tabernacles and the release of the last living hostages on the final day of Sukkot.
For those who were physically in the Land and those who watched online during our Feast of Tabernacles celebrations, I truly believe you had a wonderful experience. Many said it was “very impactful!” … from our Remembrance Ceremony at Sapir College, the opening night at Kfar HaNokdim, the Israeli Guest Night/Roll Call of the Nations in Jerusalem, and our finale Healing Service. I’ve heard many were healed, Praise God!
The Feast was a blessing not only to the delegates, but also to the local Israelis who were able to see prophecy fulfilled (Zechariah 14:16) with over 70 nations coming to celebrate the Feast of Booths. This was especially evident at our Jerusalem March in Sacher Park, where more than two thousand delegates marched in solidarity with Israel, proudly displaying their national flags and showering their love on the locals who were enjoying their holidays. I witnessed local Jews crying for joy, or perhaps relief, knowing they are NOT alone in these days of persecution and hostility against Israel and the Jewish people.
The icing on the cake was the immense joy that our 20 living hostages were released after 738 days of captivity. This happened right before Simchat Torah, which also was the horrific day that they were taken two years ago. For these former captives, the road of recovery has just started.
Psalm 126:1-3 comes to mind: “When the Lord brought back the captivity of Zion, we were like those who dream. Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing. Then they said among the nations, ‘The Lord has done great things for them.’ The Lord has done great things for us, and we are glad.”
The streets and cities of Israel celebrated their return, and the world looked on and marveled at how Israel got back all 20 living hostages in one day. We thank the Lord for this miracle.
While the Middle East is changing, and being politically and militarily reshuffled these last two years, I encourage you to remain prayerful and vigilant as watchman on the walls (Isaiah 62:6-7). While the leaders of this world come and go between Jerusalem and their nations, praising each other with their “peace efforts”, we need to acknowledge that the Lord sits on His throne and has the final decision.
Psalm 47:8 “God reigns over the nations; God sits on His holy throne.”
Be encouraged that we serve an awesome God!
Shalom from Jerusalem!

PRAYER FOR ISRAEL AND THE NATIONS
1. Pray for Israel’s Borders and Destiny This month is critical for Israel as global discussions intensify about Gaza and the two-state solution. Let us stand on God’s Word that He alone determines the boundaries of the nations, and especially of Israel. Pray for the restoration and protection of Israel’s biblical borders and that God’s will concerning His covenant land will prevail. “And He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their pre-appointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings.” (Acts 17:26)
2. Protection, Victory, and Restoration God demonstrates His power to protect, deliver and restore, as seen in the release of the last 20 living hostages and His care for Israel. We are called to trust Him for ultimate victory over evil and the fulfilment of His promises. Pray for God’s protection over His people, the defeat of evil forces, and the manifestation of His justice and peace. “The LORD will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.” (Exodus 14:14)
3. Pray that more Nations will move their Embassies to Jerusalem in Solidarity with Israel Last month we saw the nation of Fiji make the decision to open their Embassy in Jerusalem. Other nations are now considering to make the same move. Please pray that national leaders worldwide who have this is in their hearts would be courageous and take a stand for Israel in this way. “For Zion’s sake I will not hold My peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until her righteousness goes forth as brightness, and her salvation as a lamp that burns.” (Isaiah 62:1)
4. Pray for your Nation’s Fruitfulness and Multiplication As the Jewish people begin reading the Book of Genesis again in their weekly Torah readings, we align with God’s original mandate for humanity to “be fruitful and multiply”. Let us ask the Lord to release divine strategies for exponential growth in our lives, our churches, and in our nation – both spiritually, numerically, and through His Spirit. Pray that the seeds sown over the years will now bear 30, 60, and 100-fold fruit as His glory fills the earth. “For the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the Lord, as the waters cover the sea.” (Habakkuk 2:14)
PRAYER FOR THE ICEJ
5. Pray for ICEJ’s Permanent Home and Expansion The Lord is stirring us to move from renting to owning a permanent home for the ICEJ’s global headquarters in Jerusalem. Pray for divine guidance, provision, and favour for this facility, to include a center for teaching, training, prayer and global outreach. Ask God to open doors and reveal His plan for this next season of growth and stability. “But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.” (1 Peter 5:10)
